For four years has kept Northern Lighting in Design Award, this year was a bit special, it was the first time young talent from all over Europe could be involved and participate. Over 150 entries were received from over 120 pcs designers which was incredibly fun and inspiring. The winner this year was the 21-year-old Finnish designer Hannakaisa Pekkala. Currently studying at the Institute of Design and Fine Arts in Lahti, Finland. The winning design proposal called "Symmetry" and is a series of three sculptural lamps in metal. The lights are in the three base forms square, circle and diamond. One can mix them with each other or have them free standing. Incredibly stylish in its simplicity, we think!
